Procedure: Dupuytrens contracture release
Indication: Dupuytrens contracture
Duration: One – two hours
Associated procedures: Nil
Anaesthesia: Local anaesthesia and sedation if primary episode. General anaesthesia when recurrent disease
Incision: Incision commencing over palmar surface over the affected cord and extending into digits
Length of hospital stay: Day case
Recovery: 10 days in a straight splint. Removal of sutures at 10 days with mobilisation. Night splinting for six weeks
