Richard Zinn is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a special interest in breast and cosmetic surgery. He is passionate about and committed to his work. Plastic surgery is a pursuit of excellence and for Richard, training and learning never ends. He regularly attends international congress, symposia and training workshops that allow him to offer his patients the most advanced techniques. He offers the highest level of personalized care, optimizing results while minimizing downtime.
Richard completed undergraduate medical training at the University of Cape town in 2003. It was here, in the early years of medical training, where his passion for plastic surgery was sparked. Postgraduate training included 3 years of general surgery and 4 years of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, qualifying as a Plastic Surgeon in 2013. In 2014, Richard turned his attention to research and completed a Masters degree in Lipodystrophy, an abnormal fat distribution found in certain patients. He completed the prestigious Royal Melbourne International Microsurgery Fellowship in 2015, and Royal Perth fellowship in 2016, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016.
Richard maintains involvement in both public and private centers. He is actively involved in training junior surgeons at the Northern Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Richard Zinn is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a college with a proud and rich history in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa. He is a member of Australian Society of Plastic surgeons (ASPS), the Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons of South Africa (APRSSA) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).
